PERRYVILLE -- Hubert V. Richardet Sr., 71, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at his home.

He was born June 22, 1926, in Perry County, son of William J. and Rosa Stortz Richardet.

He married Rita Winschel Sept. 9, 1950, at Perryville. She survives.

He worked for many years as a carpenter in Perry County and joined Kiefner Brothers Construction Co. as a supervisor until his retirement in 1982.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, VFW in Perryville, and the Carpenters' Union Local 2030 at Ste. Genevieve. He was past president and a member of the board of directors of the Association of Retarded Citizens.

He also was a third degree Knights of Columbus member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Perryville and an American Legion Booster.

Survivors include six sons, William J. Richardet of High Ridge, Stephen P. Richardet of Jackson, Dave L. Richardet, Mike E. Richardet, Jeff A. Richardet and Hubert V. Richardet Jr., all of Perryville; two daughters, Kathy Ploeger of Ballwin and Brenda Buonasera, Belleair Beach, Fla.,; three sisters, Lorena Wibbenmeyer and Rita Zahner, both of Perryville, and Lillian Zoellner of St. Louis; and 17 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake service will be held today at 7 p.m., with the Knights of Columbus. The VFW service will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Friends also may call from 6:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Service will be at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
