MARION SMITH

PATTON -- Marion David Smith, 86, of Patton, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1996, in Des Arc.

He was born April 29, 1909, at Patton, son of Jasper N. and Janie Tinnin Smith. He and Florence Scott were married Nov. 18, 1930.

Smith attended Patton Church of God.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, the Rev. Dewel Smith of Des Arc, the Rev. J.D. Smith of Advance; a daughter, Helen Dalton of Park Hills; a brother, William Smith of Patton; three sisters, Bessie Revelle and Mary Bollinger of Jackson, Irene Yamnitz of Patton; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Mark Smith, Joe Smith and Billy Cain officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery.
