Beatrice Sewell, 87, of Wewoka, Okla., died Friday, Jan. 26, 1996, at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville, Okla. She was born April 19, 1908, in Augusta, Ark., daughter of Primous and Josephine Vains West. She first married Charles Freeman, who preceded her in death. Beatrice Sewell, 87, of Wewoka, Okla., died Friday, Jan. 26, 1996, at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville, Okla.

She was born April 19, 1908, in Augusta, Ark., daughter of Primous and Josephine Vains West. She first married Charles Freeman, who preceded her in death. She later married Albert Sewell, who also preceded her in death.

Formerly of Los Angeles, Calif., she had worked at Hughes Air Craft. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Wewoka.

Survivors include two sisters, Rosie Lattin of Cape Girardeau, Beulah Walters of Wewoka; a brother, Edward George of Las Vegas, Nev., and a goddaughter, Patricia Powell of Los Angeles.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church, with the Revs. Wiley Reed and Howard McGee officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Saturday from noon to service time.

Sparks Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of local arrangements.
