IRENE AMBROSE

CANALOU -- Irene Ambrose, 74, of Canalou, formerly of East Prairie, died Saturday, March 23, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Aug. 21, 1921, in Big Ridge, to Denver and Early Bohannon Lacey. She was first married to Fay Hill in 1938. He died Oct. 17, 1963. She then married Orin Ambrose in October 1969. He died May 10, 1991.

Ambrose was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canalou.

Survivors include two daughters, Janie Nichols of Canalou and Teresa Sadler of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Dewayne Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
