ANNA, Ill. -- Nova P. West, 88, of Anna, died Thursday, April 4, 1996, at Briarwood Care Center in Kankakee. She was born Sept. 14, 1907, in Anna, daughter of John and Minnie Elkins Pitts. She and Dallas West were married July 7, 1925, in Jonesboro. He died May 3, 1985...

ANNA, Ill. -- Nova P. West, 88, of Anna, died Thursday, April 4, 1996, at Briarwood Care Center in Kankakee.

She was born Sept. 14, 1907, in Anna, daughter of John and Minnie Elkins Pitts. She and Dallas West were married July 7, 1925, in Jonesboro. He died May 3, 1985.

West owned a restaurant here many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Bass of Wilmington; three sisters, Evelyn Boomer, Helen Fear and Daisy White of Anna; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, son, two sisters and a half brother.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Todd Hawk officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
