ELSIE BUCHHEIT

JACKSON -- Elsie Buchheit, 86, of Sullivan, formerly of Bonne Terre, died Monday, April 15, 1996, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.

She was born Jan. 11, 1910, at Marquand, daughter of Henry and Josephine Barr Trost. She married Florian L. Buchheit, who preceded her in death.

Buchheit was a charter member of Area Agency on Aging. She served on seven boards and was instrumental in getting the senior citizen apartments for Bonne Terre. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Bonne Terre, Daughters of Isabella and Legion of Mary.

Survivors include a son, Fred Buchheit of Lakeland, Fla.; three daughters, Josephine Dietz of Mehlville, Mary Kage of Sullivan, Dolores Unterreiner of Jackson; a sister, Elva Powell of Jackson; 18 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.

Friends may call at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre after 4 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7.

Funeral service will be at noon Friday at St. Joseph Church, with the Revs. John Schneider and Edward Hileman officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
