Thurman Hanebrink, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 20, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1908, at Cape Girardeau, to Fred and Mary L. Taylor Hanebrink. He and Lillian Steger were married April 14, 1935, at St. Louis.

Hanebrink was a retired farmer. He also was a member of the Soil and Water Conservation District of Cape Girardeau County and served on the school board at Brooks School. He was a 4-H Club leader and was involved with A.S.C.S, an agriculture organization. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sara Daughtery and Emma Craig, both of Cape Girardeau; a half-brother, Cletus Hanebrink, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, a half-brother and four sisters.

Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills. The Rev. Mark Martin will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
