ULLIN, Ill. -- Laddie Mowery, 76, of Memphis, Tenn., died Tuesday, May 28, 1996, at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis. He was born Nov. 14, 1919, at Ullin, son of Clarence Everett and Allie Melvina Barringer Mowery. He and Melba Frances Corbett were married Sept. 16, 1941...

ULLIN, Ill. -- Laddie Mowery, 76, of Memphis, Tenn., died Tuesday, May 28, 1996, at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis.

He was born Nov. 14, 1919, at Ullin, son of Clarence Everett and Allie Melvina Barringer Mowery. He and Melba Frances Corbett were married Sept. 16, 1941.

Mowery retired as a chemist with Humko of Memphis.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Mowery of Dallas, Texas, James Mowery of Horn Lake, Miss., Judd Mowery of Milan, Tenn.; a sister, Altha Mowery of Memphis; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
