FRANCES FELTER

Frances M. Felter, 93, 723 William, died Thursday, May 30, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born March 15, 1903, at Kelso, daughter of Louis and Theresa Fischer Ziegler. She and Killian Felter were married April 24, 1921, at Kelso. He died June 29, 1990.

Felter was employed at St. Francis Medical Center 32 years. She was named Auxilian of the Year for 1994. She was a charter member of St. Francis Auxiliary, St. Mary's Quilters Guild, and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Cathedral Ladies, Daughters of Isabella, and Cursillo.

Survivors include a son, Charles Felter Sr. of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Vera Lohmann, Dorris Young and Florence Lewis, all of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Josephine Robert of Cape Girardeau, Clara Schram of Benton; 18 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers will be at 7, and KC rosary at 7:30 by Council 11205.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
