JACKSON -- W.T. Palisch, 82, of Jackson, died Friday, June 21, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 14, 1913, at Brazeau, son of Ernst and Cora Mueller Palisch. He and Esther Weber were married Oct. 4, 1936, at Altenburg. She died Sept. 25, 1989.

Palisch was a graduate of Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, Ill. He taught school nine years at Pocahontas. He was teacher/principal at St. Paul Lutheran School in Jackson 35 years, retiring in 1978.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and its Men's Club, and was organist for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Ted Palisch of St. Louis, Dan Palisch of Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Betty Sprandel of Jackson, Barbara Catron of Farmington Hills, Mich.; two brothers, Elmer Palisch of Jackson, Hilmer Palisch of Lakewood, Colo.; a sister, Corrine Boettcher of Frohna; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 8:30-9:45 a.m.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Church, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
