SCOTT CITY -- Glenn Maurice Beardslee, 84, of Scott City, died Monday, July 8, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born July 18, 1911, at Blodgett, son of Paul and Francis Groves Beardslee. He and Nina Bell Edmonds were married Feb. 24, 1934, at Commerce. She died Jan. 11, 1991...

SCOTT CITY -- Glenn Maurice Beardslee, 84, of Scott City, died Monday, July 8, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 18, 1911, at Blodgett, son of Paul and Francis Groves Beardslee. He and Nina Bell Edmonds were married Feb. 24, 1934, at Commerce. She died Jan. 11, 1991.

Beardslee had owned and operated Midway Garage, and was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Beardslee of Scott City; two brothers, Maurice Beardslee of Benton and, Charles Beardslee of Scott City.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim King officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
