CAROL BASLER

COBDEN, Ill. -- Carol M. Basler, 51, of Cobden, died Wednesday, July 31, 1996, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

She was born Jan. 3, 1945, in Union County, daughter of Lester "Buck" and Ethel Wright Arnold. She and Louis J. Basler were married Oct. 4, 1963, in Jonesboro.

Basler was a cook at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cobden.

Survivors include her husband; a son, David Basler of Cobden; a sister, Letha Moreland, and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
