Douglas Koch, 67, died Friday Aug. 2, 1996, at Cape Girardeau. He was born June 23, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, son of Gilbert Emil Louis and Avis Anna Rhyne Koch. He and Daisy Myer were married Sept. 3, 1949, at Jackson. Koch was a veteran of the Korean Conflict before being employed at Lone Star cement plant for 38 years, retiring in 1991 as a supervisor. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, former president of the Marquette Fishing Club and a manager and coach with Cape Youth Baseball...

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Douglas Koch and Scott Koch, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Susan Joann Barrett of Jackson; a sister, Bebe Florence Watkins of Willard; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family may call today at 3 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the chapel.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Dissen officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
