PERRYVILLE -- Pearl Elizabeth Stortz, 89, died Monday, Aug. 5, 1996, at Bethesda West Nursing Center in Ellisville. She was born July 9, 1907, at Silver Lake, daughter of August and Irene Robinson Geile. She and John Stortz were married Nov. 25, 1924, at Silver Lake. He died Oct. 21, 1981...

PERRYVILLE -- Pearl Elizabeth Stortz, 89, died Monday, Aug. 5, 1996, at Bethesda West Nursing Center in Ellisville.

She was born July 9, 1907, at Silver Lake, daughter of August and Irene Robinson Geile. She and John Stortz were married Nov. 25, 1924, at Silver Lake. He died Oct. 21, 1981.

Stortz was a member of American Legion Auxiliary 141.

Survivors include two daughters, Marie Marfia of Chesterfield, Betty Stortz of Florissant; a son, David Stortz of Chesterfield; a sister, Gertrude Gulotta of Wood River, Ill.; a brother, Lawrence Geile of Perryville, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville from 3-9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30-9:50 a.m. The wake is at 7 tonight, and the rosary will be at 9 a.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Charles Shelby officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
