MINER -- Eura T. "Dick" McClendon, 84, formerly of Charleston, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 1996, at the Miner Nursing Facility.

He was born Jan. 10, 1912, in Mayfield, Ky., to Jesse and Rebecca Jane White McClendon.

He had lived in Mississippi County most of his life and was a retired farmer. In January 1994, he moved to the Miner Nursing Center.

Survivors include two sons, Dickie L. McClendon and Harold R. McClendon of Charleston; three daughters, Jean Wetzel of Cape Girardeau, Shirma Laughlin of St. Louis and Mildred Becker of Crosby, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

One son preceded him in death.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston. The Rev. Marvin Overby will officiate. Burial will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
