RICHARD GERLER
ALTENBURG -- Richard J. Gerler, 56, of Altenburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1996, at Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico. He was born Jan. 12, 1940, in Altenburg, son of Walter and Willa Golden Gerler. Gerler had been an assembler at General Motors. Survivors include two brothers, Ralph Gerler of Mexico, Ray Gerler of Altenburg; and a sister, Mamie Schmidt of Frohna...ALTENBURG -- Richard J. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 5-9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to service time. An American Legion wake will be held at 7:30 tonight.
Funeral service will be at the chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
