Nellie C. Hoffmeister, 85, 528 Koch, died Friday, Aug. 16, 1996, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born June 15, 1911, at Campbell, daughter of John Elbert and Lauetina Taylor Ayers. She and William C. "Bill" Hoffmeister were married Nov. 6, 1938, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 30, 1986.

Hoffmeister was a member of Word of Life Fellowship Church and had taught Sunday School.

Survivors include a brother, Elzy Ayers, and a sister, Maggie Seabaugh, both of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Don Henson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
