DELTA -- Riley R. Eddleman, 90, of St. Louis, formerly of Delta, died Friday, Aug. 16, 1996, at Deaconess West Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Feb. 6, 1906, at Biehle, the son of Christopher C. and Barbara Ann Fulbright Eddleman.
On Jan. 28, 1928, he married the former Ruby J. Cox. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sisters, Vonna Jones of Millersville, Enid Breen of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Gayneth Ryan of St. Louis; and two brothers, Harley L. and Rodney J. Eddleman, both of Cape Girardeau.
Two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
He was a high school guidance counselor, retiring in 1971. He was also very active in Boy Scouts, serving as a scout executive and earning the Eagle Scout, Silver Beaver and Brass Goat awards.
He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and had attended Oak Ridge and Chaffee and Delta high schools. He also did genealogy research.
Friends may call today from 1 to 5 p.m. at Drehmann-Harral Funeral Home in St. Louis
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m.
