Herbert L. Bedell, 49, of Matteson, Ill., died Friday, Aug. 16, 1996, in Delavan, Wis. He was born March 1, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Maple Harris and Louise Maxley Bedell. He married the former Sharon Van Tuyle. Bedell worked in sales and as a truck driver at Central Distributors Old Style Beer 27 years. Herbert L. Bedell, 49, of Matteson, Ill., died Friday, Aug. 16, 1996, in Delavan, Wis.

He was born March 1, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Maple Harris and Louise Maxley Bedell. He married the former Sharon Van Tuyle.

Bedell worked in sales and as a truck driver at Central Distributors Old Style Beer 27 years. He was a member of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Matteson, and Union Local 744.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Dionysia, Brittany and Ashley of Matteson; his father of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Ernestine Silverman and Delores Dunka of Chicago, Connie Lee of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Claude Bedell of Chicago, Christopher Bedell of St. Louis, and Paul Bedell of Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at Hirsch Funeral Home in Matteson from 2-9 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chicago.
