PERRYVILLE -- Martha W. Kirmse, 100, of Perryville died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1996, at Perry Oaks Health Care Center.

She was born May 1, 1896, in Perry County, daughter of Phillip and Clara M. Hopfer Kassel. She and Joseph Kirmse were married May 10, 1921. He died May 21, 1957.

Kirmse was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Farrar.

Survivors include three sisters, Sarah Mikusch, Marie Grove and Ida Bitsch of St. Louis; and a brother, William Kassel of Farrar.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 3-8 p.m. today, and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to noon.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Salem Church, with the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
