SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Robert Elmer Freeman of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Harris will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Freeman, 67, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 1996, at Sikeston Convalescent Center, from injuries received in an accident Nov. 15, 1995.

He was born March 15, 1929, in Gibson County, Tenn., son of John Franklin and J. Edna Harris Freeman. He married Nina Mae Tennon, who died in June 1972.

Survivors include seven brothers, Aubry Freeman of Kenton, Tenn., Eldon Freeman of Dyer, Tenn., Tommy and Henry Freeman of Sikeston, J.D. Freeman of Bell City, Sanford and Charles Freeman of Parma; four sisters, Opal Roberts of Parma, Ada Duck of Kenton, Mary Duck of Aurora, Ill., and Jodie Sprous of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by a son.
