NEW WELLS -- Norma A. Versemann, 77, of New Wells died Monday, Aug. 26, 1996, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.

She was born June 11, 1919, at Farrar, daughter of Theodore and Lydia Bachmann Mangels. She and Wilbert Versemann were married Jan. 10, 1943, at Farrar.

Versemann was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at New Wells and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ronald Versemann of New Wells; a daughter, Janet Gross of Jackson; three sisters, Wilma Meinz of Altenburg, Ruth Versemann of Crystal Lake, Ill., Alice Bachmann of Perryville; three brothers, Alfred Mangels of Winside, Neb., Walter Mangels of Farrar, Reinhold Mangels of St. Louis; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Walter Patzwitz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
