BERTRAND -- Funeral service for Edd Wesley Badgett of Bertrand will be held at 11 a.m. today at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Ted Wimberly will officiate, with burial in Maynard Cemetery.

Badgett, 90, died Friday, Aug. 30, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 30, 1906, in Scott County, son of Edd H. and Lelia Fields Badgett. He and Willie Bullard were married Aug. 6, 1927.

Formerly of Sikeston, Badgett was a retired farmer and member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Gerry Hall of East Prairie; a half brother, George Fields of Berkeley; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
