ANNA, Ill. -- Paul Sronce, 75, of Anna died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born March 30, 1921, at Mill Creek, son of Harvey and Blanche Dickerson Sronce. He first married Helen Young in 1946 in St. Louis. She died in 1972. He later married Maxine in 1972 in Elgin. She died in 1982...

ANNA, Ill. -- Paul Sronce, 75, of Anna died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born March 30, 1921, at Mill Creek, son of Harvey and Blanche Dickerson Sronce. He first married Helen Young in 1946 in St. Louis. She died in 1972. He later married Maxine in 1972 in Elgin. She died in 1982.

Sronce had been a bus driver. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Sronce of Cobden, Donnie Sronce of Anna; two daughters, Bonnie Payne of Dayton, Ind., Ruth Ann Born of Springfield; two brothers, David Sronce of Jonesboro, Lester Sronce of Olathe, Kan.; a sister, Alberta Hileman of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A brother also died Thursday.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
