BLOOMFIELD -- Norma L. Wilfong, 79, of Bloomfield, died Friday, Aug. 30, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 7, 1917, at Advance, daughter of Albert and Grace Straney Looney. She and Ward G. Wilfong were married May 26, 1947, at Clayton.

Wilfong was a member of the Bethel General Baptist Church in Advance. She had been employed at the former International Shoe Co. at Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Linda J. Meadon of St. Louis; two sisters, Pansy Furre of Michigan and Mabel Neal of Advance; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Ray Placher will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
