BERTRAND -- Frances Ellen Peters, 88, of Bertrand died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 16, 1908, in Bertrand, daughter of Charles Eli and Frances Ella Hudson Voelker. She and Charles Wesley Peters were married Oct. 25, 1932. He died Feb. 17, 1961.

A lifelong resident of Bertrand, she was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Peters of Dallas, Texas, Lester Peters of Salisbury; two daughters, Mary Pannier of Cape Girardeau, Joan Shelby of Bartlett, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
