Shirley J. Sutton, 62, of St. Peters died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1996, at her home.

She was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Howard and Thelma Mathenia Slinkard. She married Delzia D. Sutton.

Sutton had worked at Kroger in St. Charles 10 years, and was head cashier.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dirk Sutton of Brian, Ohio, Darryl Sutton of St. Peters; a daughter, Pamela Freeman of Troy; her father of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Howard Slinkard of North Carolina; two sisters, Jerry Sue Huellewig, Sharon Kohr of Wright City; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Friends may call at Baue Funeral Chapel in St. Charles from 4-9 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be in St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles.
