CARRIE E. TALLEY

JACKSON -- Carrie E. Talley, 85, of Jackson died Saturday, Sept. 7, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born March 26, 1911, in Sedgewickville, the daughter of Malachi and Ali Statler Statler. She married Harry L. Talley on Dec. 18, 1933. He died June 16, 1991.

Talley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Carl L. Talley of Jackson, a daughter, Ruth A. Phillips of Huntsville, Ala., a brother, Thurman Statler of Jackson and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rodney Travis officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
