Elmo Cato, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 16, 1996, at the home of a daughter.

He was born April 19, 1914, in Advance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cato. He and Della Hendrix were married May 22, 1933, at Kennett. She died Jan. 10, 1995.

Cato was an oil field construction worker 45 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Vera Howard of Cape Girardeau; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dale Hendrix officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
