SHELDON STRATMAN JR.

Sheldon Joseph Stratman Jr., 67, of Mountain Home, Ark., died Monday, Sept. 16, 1996, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was born June 11, 1929, in Millstadt, Ill., son of Sheldon Joseph and Emily H. Yale Stratman Sr. He and Bernadine Stratman were married June 15, 1949, at Glennonville...

Sheldon Joseph Stratman Jr., 67, of Mountain Home, Ark., died Monday, Sept. 16, 1996, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

He was born June 11, 1929, in Millstadt, Ill., son of Sheldon Joseph and Emily H. Yale Stratman Sr. He and Bernadine Stratman were married June 15, 1949, at Glennonville.

Stratman was formerly of Cape Girardeau. He was a clerk with Missouri Pacific Railroad 47 years, retiring in 1987. He had coached and umpired Little League teams in Cahokia, Ill.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, William Stratman Sr. of Boaz, Darryl Stratman Sr. of Grassy, Sheldon Stratman III of Cahokia; two brothers, Henry Stratman of East Carondelet, Ill., Eugene Stratman of Warden, Ill.; two sisters, Dorothy Stratman and Marcellia Tansca of Mountain Home; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
