LLOYD KEENE
ADVANCE -- Lloyd Keene, 75, of Advance died Friday, Sept. 20, 1996, at Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico. He was born Aug. 29, 1921, in New Madrid, son of John Wesley and Ida Belle Joiner Keene. He was born Aug. 29, 1921, in New Madrid, son of John Wesley and Ida Belle Joiner Keene. He and Mary Gunter were married Jan. 19, 1946, at Kinder.
Keene was a retired farmer. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Advance Lodge 590 AF&AM.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lloyd Keene of Brownwood, Dickie Keene of Cape Girardeau, Kevin Keene of Advance; a brother, Richard Keene of Sikeston; his twin sister, Lois Stowe of New Madrid; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30-8 p.m. Sunday. Masonic service will be at 7.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ray Placher and Norman Elledge officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
