DEXTER -- Ruby Lee Day, 82, of Dexter died Friday, Sept. 20, 1996, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Van Zanot County, Texas, Aug. 1, 1914, daughter of Finnis and Esther Wortham Birdsong.

She was a member of the Bible Missionary Church of Dexter.

She married Leonard O. Rhine in 1931 He died Feb. 27, 1976. She married Beckam Day at Dexter on May 30, 1987. He survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Glenn Rhine of Florissant, Charles Derald Rhine of Davidsburg, Mich., and Leonard Rhine of St. Louis; six daughters, Rosa Lee McClelland and Connie Sutton, both of Little Rock, Ark., Barbara Sue Asberry of Fenton, Wanda Mae Peters of Neelyville, Glenda Fay Broaddus of Chicago and Sherry McAnulty of Sikeston; 35 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.

Service will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Watkins & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Dexter, with the Rev. Farris Nabors of Cape Girardeau officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
