SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Hazel Woodward of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. The Revs. Daniel Stoffel and Lance Smith will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Woodward, 78, died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born April 6, 1918, in Sikeston, daughter of John and May Gray. She married Lawrence G. Woodward, who died Aug. 31, 1977.

Woodward worked at Kirby's Sandwich Shop 42 years.

Survivors include a son, Marvin Baldwin Jr. of St. Charles; a daughter, Janie Warren of Douglasville, Ga.; three sisters, Betty Wright and Pauline "Polly" Hill of Sikeston, Mary Gonzales of Honolulu, Hawaii; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
