FRIEDHEIM -- Edgar A. Wibbenmeyer, 80, of Friedheim died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 15, 1916, in Perry County, son of Joseph H. and Clara Welker Wibbenmeyer. He and Lucille M. Kirn were married Sept. 10, 1946.

Wibbenmeyer had been a farmer. He was a member of American Legion Post in Perryville. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Norman Wibbenmeyer of Gatesville, Texas; three daughters, Doris Saupe of Shawneetown, Donna Seabaugh of Friedheim, Bernice Niermann of Chester, Ill.; a brother, Herman Wibbenmeyer of Perryville; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters, and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The parish wake is at 7 tonight and American Legion service at 7:30. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
