SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Joe Dennis Southard will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. William Marshall will officiate, with burial in Mounds Park Cemetery at Lilbourn.

Southard, 36, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 1996, at Columbia Springview Hospital in Lebanon, Ky.

He was born June 17, 1960, in Lilbourn, son of Joe and Jewell Glass Southard.

Survivors include a son, Joe Southard II of Mobile, Ala.; a daughter, Pamela Southard of Mobile; his father of Ozark, Ala.; two sisters, Jo Ann Hasty of Ozark, and Kathy Baehr of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
