MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Pearl Rothman, 87, of Mound City died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 1996, at Hillview Health Care Facility in Vienna.

She was born Sept. 22, 1909, in Smithland, Ky., daughter of John and Bessie Hall Holdman. She married Roy Rothman, who died in 1969.

Survivors include three daughters, Helen Hood of Grand Tower, Delores Carrington Honey of Tamms, Virginia Wathen of St. Louis; three sisters, Lela Sullivan of Grand Chain, Edith Walls of Urbandale, Inez Lange of Kankakee; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City, with the Rev. Danny Hood officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. to service time.
