PERRYVILLE -- Eugene E. Maxey, 76, of Perryville died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 1996, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 12, 1920, at Pilot Knob, son of Harry and Pearl McElfriesh Maxey. He and Lillian Elizabeth Riley were married Aug. 29, 1953, in St. Louis County.

Maxey served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Loren Maxey of Perryville, Randal and Michael Maxey of St. Louis County; four daughters, Debbie Bobbitt and Sandy Fair of Festus, Lucinda Moore of Cadet, Donna Maxey of St. Louis; three brothers, Leslie Maxey of Arnold, Hubert Maxey of Mehlville, Vernon Maxey of Bridgeton; 28 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and granddaughter.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
