Helen Marie Haupt, 85, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born April 17, 1911, at Egypt Mills, daughter of Charles and Caroline Foerenbach Haupt.

Haupt had lived in Cape Girardeau 43 years. She had been a self-employed housekeeper. Haupt was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Egypt Mills, its Altar Guild, and Bible Class many years.

Survivors include a sister, Marie Colden of Avoca, Mich.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
