EARL STEEN

OAK RIDGE -- Funeral service for Earl F. Steen will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. E.D. Francis will officiate, with burial in Oak Ridge Baptist Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to service time.

Steen, 91, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1996, at Bond Nursing Home in Marble Hill.

She was born March 29, 1905, at Miner, daughter of Frank and Dolly Higgs Hider. She and Marvin A. Steen were married in June 1920. He died April 1, 1958.

Steen formerly lived in Oak Ridge and Randles. She was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church near Oak Ridge.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin "Bud" Steen of Piedmont, Bobby Steen of Niangua; three daughters, Louise Shell and Shirley Steen of Marble Hill, Ella Windeknecht of Litchfield Park, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, grandson, great-granddaughter, two sisters, and four brothers.
