LUCY M. GIBBAR

PERRYVILLE -- Lucy M. Gibbar, 83, of Perryville died Saturday, Oct. 19, 1996, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born July 15, 1913, in Belgique, to John and Lela Layton Modde. She married Jerome J. Gibbar on Oct. 10, 1936. He died Aug. 28, 1970.

She had been employed as a cook in a nursing home and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and 6:30 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, at Young & Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville. A parish wake service will be 7 tonight. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
