CHARLESTON -- Funeral Mass for Frieda Ann Howell, formerly of Wyatt, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Charleston. Msgr. Mike Swalina will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery near Charleston.

McMikle Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of arrangements.

Howell, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 1996, at Charleston Manor.

She was born Jan. 20, 1918, at Wyatt, daughter of Fred Nolen and Rose M. Dugan Shively. She and B.F. "Bevo" Howell were married Feb. 14, 1939. He died May 25, 1987.

Howell was a bookkeeper at Howell Brothers Shop in Wyatt, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Henry's Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Jeffords of Springfield; a grandson; and great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
