SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Leila Inez Raines, Scott City Route 1, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Raines, 76, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Patterson, Texas, daughter of Charlie and Ada Graves Taylor. She and Lester O. Raines were married May 25, 1946, in Patterson, Texas.
The Raines moved to Scott City 50 years ago from Patterson. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ben Raines of Scott City; a sister, Flora Wise of Hempstead, Texas; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and three sisters.
