DONGOLA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Lucas Panici of Dongola will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. The Rev. Tom Miller will officiate.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. today.

Panici, 14, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 1996, in an automobile accident near his home.

He was born June 1, 1982, in Chicago Heights, son of Terry and Patty Bruno Panici.

Panici was a freshman at Dongola High School, and a member of the basketball team and Future Farmers of America. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and its youth organization.

Survivors include his parents of Dongola; a brother, Jacob; two sisters, Anne and Sarah Panici, all of Dongola; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bruno; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Emelio Panici; and maternal great-grandfather, Mario Bruno, all of Chicago Heights.
