CHAFFEE -- Pernecia C. Haupt, 86, of Sacramento, Calif., died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1996, at Elk Grove Convalescent Center in Elk Grove, Calif.

She was born March 20, 1910, in Mayfield. She and Lawrence E. Haupt were married March 30, 1930. He died Oct. 27, 1991.

The Haupts moved to Sacramento in 1961 from Chaffee.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Lloyd Haupt of Elk Grove; a daughter, Gladys Orton of Baraboo, Wis.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was held Nov. 12 at Southeast Lawn Memorial Park in Elk Grove, with the Rev. Tony Berry officiating.
