Funeral service for Joseph Losin Moore of Zephyrhills, Fla., will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel, 829 N. West End Boulevard. The Revs. Encil Edmonds and James Bolden will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel from 4:30-8 p.m. today.

Moore, 70, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 1996, at East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills.

He was born June 3, 1926, in East Prairie, son of Albert L. and Mattie F. Zook Moore. He and Vera G. Simmons were married Feb. 4, 1947, in Mayfield, Ky.

Moore was a construction worker. He was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Temple Terrace, Fla., and member of Retired Carpenters Union. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War from 1944-53.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Moore of St. Louis, Gary Moore of Zephyrhills; a daughter, Delene Riley of Kankakee, Ill.; four brothers, Albert Moore of Baldwin, Ga., David Moore of Albuquerque, N.M., Jackie Moore of Oklahoma City, Okla., Jimmie Moore of Paducah, Ky.; four sisters, Ruby Jackson of Paducah, Effie Shurtz and Judy Gregory of East Prairie, Clarsie Jennings of Virginia Beach, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.
