GALE, Ill. -- Ivan W. Reimann, 78, of Gale Route 1 died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born July 1, 1918, at Egypt Mills, son of Charles and Dorthea Gerlach Reimann. He was a custodian for the Cape Girardeau School District before retiring in July 1985. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Air Force in Europe. GALE, Ill. -- Ivan W. Reimann, 78, of Gale Route 1 died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born July 1, 1918, at Egypt Mills, son of Charles and Dorthea Gerlach Reimann.

He was a custodian for the Cape Girardeau School District before retiring in July 1985. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Air Force in Europe. He was a member of VFW Post 3838 and Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.

Survivors include two brothers, Walter Reimann of McClure and Ernest Reimann of Egypt Mills; and a sister, Erma Bettlach of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Martin will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
