COBDEN, Ill. -- Patsy Ann Glasco Tweedy, 56, of Jamestown, N.C., and formerly of Cobden, died Sunday, April 2, 1995, at her home.

She was born July 2, 1938, in Cobden, the daughter of Lowell Irwin and Thelma Jane Highland Glasco. She married Dr. Bill Tweedy on Dec. 28, 1957.

Tweedy was employed as an accounting clerk in Greensboro, N.C., with the Ciba-Geigy Co., where she was a member of the CGs. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Jamestown and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was clerk and treasurer for the church and was in charge of cooking for the homeless.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Patricia Lynn Carter and Carol Jane Tweedy, both of Jamestown and Glenna Jean Orr of Valdosta, Ga.; five sisters, Emily McFarland Yates of McAllen, Texas, Betty Eskew of Manteno, Vertis Ray of St. Cloud, Fla., Charlene Givens of Golconda and Wilma Thetford of Cobden; four brothers, Bud Williams of Wilmington, Mass., and Roy, Troy and Paulie Glasco, all of Cobden; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden and on Thursday until the funeral at 1 p.m. The Rev. Mike Glasco will officiate, and burial will follow in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
