LELA MORGAN

DUDLEY -- Funeral service for Lela Morgan of Dudley will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Kent Miller will officiate. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. in New Prospect Cemetery near Parsons, Tenn.

Morgan, 80, died Sunday, April 9, 1995, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

She was born May 24, 1914, in Decatur County, Tenn., daughter of Willie and Hester Renfroe Haynes. She and John Franklin Morgan were married Nov. 20, 1932, in Lexington, Tenn. He died March 12, 1985.

Morgan moved to Sikeston in 1947 and then to Dudley in 1973. She was a member of Dudley Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, William Morgan of Dudley, Albert Morgan of Duck River, Tenn.; a daughter, Evelyn Nolan of Caruthersville; a brother, Albert Haynes of Parsons; a sister, Dorothy Ritter of Newburn, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.
