ELTA L. NISWONGER

PERRYVILLE -- Elta Lydia Niswonger, 66, of Perryville, died Monday, April 10, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 24, 1928, in Perry County, daughter of John and Lydia Fassold Blandford. She and Melvin D. Niswonger were married Aug. 9, 1952.

Niswonger had worked at a shoe factory, and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Elizabeth Kimmich of Perryville; two sons, Russel Schindler of Arnold, Darrell Niswonger of Champaign, Ill.; a brother, Chalmer Blandford of Perryville; a sister, Alma Janet of Perryville; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
