ETHEL HOLLIS

BLOOMFIELD -- Ethel Hollis, 87, died Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at Vintage Villa Nursing Center in Dexter.

She was born Aug. 4, 1907, at Gravel Hill, daughter of Nelson and Martha Bradshaw Moore. She and Leslie Hollis were married Aug. 4, 1926. He died Dec. 6, 1988.

Hollis had lived in the Clines Island and Bloomfield areas all her life. She was a member of Hill General Baptist Church near Bloomfield.

Survivors include two sons, Floyd Hollis of Hines, Ore., Carl Hollis of Malden; two daughters, Betty Edwards and Shirley Philpott of Dexter; two brothers, Elzie Moore of Bloomfield and Jess Moore of Morehouse.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Lafferty officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
